I was so excited to finally meet Miss Dani Malina, and I loved seeing Gabriela and Marko interact with their baby girl. I was also excited to shoot in the same location as their maternity session last August. Being in the same place just brought to light how quickly life can change (and how gorgeous that change can be!). Thank you Gabriela and Marko for trusting me again! I hope your love your preview.
Sometimes I scroll through the images I’ve chosen for a blog post, and I’m looking for the words. What do I say about this family? How do I capture in words, the way it felt to be with them this day? How do I describe their love for each other and the way they interacted? And sometimes…sometimes there are no words. I can’t explain. And that’s why there are the images. I love the way these parents love these kids. Both quietly and loudly at the same time. Thank you, Schusters, for spending your evening with me.

I spend these hours with these families, watching every interaction. And no matter how much I shoot, I can’t capture all of the beauty and love that I see. I was so honored to spend an afternoon with this sweet family. Their time outdoors was laid back and happy. I could tell how much every single one of them genuinely enjoys being in nature. And once we got back to the house it was all giggles, playfulness, and rough housing. “Mom, is she going to take pictures of us rough housing???” Sure thing, kid. Maybe just a few. I thoroughly enjoyed my time soaking up this family’s fun energy. Thank you Barratt family, for trusting me to photograph your family. Here is just a bit of our time together.

The space between baby and toddler is so precious. The one year old. The wobbly walk, looking to mom and dad for confidence, and the adventurous nature. This little man was full of smiles and all over the place busy, and his parents clearly adore him. I had such a great time documenting their sweet family at Gabriel Park!
I don’t know what words I can say that these images can’t. These babies were so wanted, are so loved, and are so lucky to have been born into this family. Karlee and Matt are just as I expected. Calm, gentle, graceful and thankful parents. Twins, Blake and McKinley, are little miracles.
Karlee and Matt, thank you for inviting me to be a part of the most exciting chapter of your lives so far. I can’t wait to watch these little ones grow up.
