Thank you to all of you for entering! And Happy Mother’s Day!!!!!**

This will be my first Mother’s Day as a mom, and I must admit I care more than I thought I would. Not so much about the holiday, but the fact that I’m part of this special group of people now. Being a mom is by far the most amazing thing I’ve ever done, and I’ve only been at it for 8 weeks! There is some sort of magic in the late night feedings, tiny noises, and being depended on so completely. The all-consuming love, and realization that I will never love anything more than I love this little boy is overwhelming. Does every mom feel this way? If so, how is there so much love in this world?? A few definitions of love right here… mothersPINSo this Mother’s Day I’m celebrating big! I’m giving away a Day in the Life session INCLUDING the digital images! All you have to do is “like” Hannah D Photography on Facebook, and comment below with your favorite thing about being a mom (or if you’re not a mom, your favorite thing about your own mom/mother figure). Happy Mother’s Day! (Love you, Mom!) a Rafflecopter giveaway

Session must be schedule for before November 1st, 2014 within 20 miles of zip codes 98119 or 97068 (or a travel fee may apply). Day in the Life session only. No exchanges.

Sarah Reed - My favorite thing about being a mom is the little moments. Waking up and seeing her beautiful face, ready to start the new day. When I hold her and she holds on to me too. When she’s upset and I finally figure out what she needs and make her happy, see her content… that is perfect. That is what I am here for.ReplyCancel

alisha Polson - My favorite thing about being a mommy is those moments where you’re playing peek a boo or maybe just talking and baby is smiling away at you. There’s a wave of overwhelming love, adoration and pride. This little guy just mezmerizes me it’s still incredible to me that I get to be his mommy!ReplyCancel

Kristen Soderman - My favorite thing about being a mom is just watching my baby and seeing her watch me back. All while she is learning and figuring out life. Her smiles in return definitely make it all worth it.ReplyCancel

Gina - My favorite thing has to be the immense joy that comes through the seemingly mundane. Things that were so boring or routine turn into firsts or the most memorable moments. Straws turn into dragon fighting swords, going on a walk means sightseeing flowers and trees and finding special rocks, pockets become treasure chests filled with acorns or pennies. All of a sudden this world that you have gotten so used to seems so fresh and new again. They change you for the better in that way, constantly giving you fresh eyes and a new perspective.ReplyCancel

Heather Fish - My favorite thing about being a mama is watching my girls just BE. The love my toddler has for her younger sister is beyond any love that I know. I love spying on my toddler when she plays alone, I love that she runs to me to kiss her imaginary injuries, I love that I’m her number one.ReplyCancel

Molly - My favorite thing is seeing their face as they learn something new- when it “clicks” and their eyes light up. The wonder, the amazement, an mostly the pride that beams from them! Wether they’re little and it’s discovering fingers/toes or learning to blow spit bubbles- or bigger learning to use the potty or signing the alphabet – it’s that same beautiful look and it makes me melt a little more each time..ReplyCancel

Christine Bingham - My favorite thing about being a mom so far is the overwhelming awe I feel at random times. This is a journey I never thought I’d get to take, so sometimes I’ll just be holding him or watching him do something and it hits me that this life is real and not just a dream. It is amazing to see Killian take on the world in his baby ways of watching, touching, tasting, and listening.ReplyCancel

Amanda - My favorite thing about being a mom is when Quinn sees me and gives me a huge smile. Best thing ever!ReplyCancel

  • May 5, 2014 - 8:50 pm

Lyndsay - I love how much my kids need me and how much I NEED them. When they are gone I feel lost. As crazy as being a mom of three is, my life would not be complete without their giggles, laughter & hugs. And wow … hearing them say that they love me? Priceless!ReplyCancel

Jennie - My favorite thing about being a mom is being reminded every day when I look in my children’s eyes that this world is good and pure and that the only thing that really matters is love. 🙂ReplyCancel

Sara Maximoff - What I love about my Mom is how much she believes in me, and how selfless she is about everything regarding me & my brother. This year, though, I’m excited to see how she stars as a grandmother. (ps: It’s a GIRL!)ReplyCancel

Mindy - Hard to pick just one thing to love about being a mom. It is amazing watching my little guy experience everything for the first time and grow literally right before my eyes. Seeing his reaction to simple every day things is touching beyond words. He teaches me to be more patient and loving. There is a silent understand moms have amongst each other – the ups, the downs, the inside outs – there is an unwritten language, a head nod, a smile, a hug amongst moms to say ‘I get it’ – the most unconditional love ever.ReplyCancel

Aria Clements - There is nothing like your child running like a demon, then sprinting to you, hugging your legs, sighing contentedly, and whispering, “I love you most, Mommy.”ReplyCancel

  • May 6, 2014 - 7:24 pm

Jen - One of my favorite parts of motherhood is that through my kids’ lives, my own life has expanded and evolved in ways I would never have expected. Although of course I try to teach my kids about the world as I know it, and get them interested in things that I think are valuable, it turns out that they do the same for me. This has been an ongoing surprise and gift to me as a mom.ReplyCancel

Sarah - My favorite thing about being a mom has been watching my children evolve from infants to young teenagers (so far!) The amount of change is breathtaking, as is the extent I can see so much about my 13 year olds in the eyes of the newborn in the photo.ReplyCancel

Judy - I’ve been a Mom for 30 years and a Grandma for 4. It’s impossible to pick one favorite thing about the experience. At this stage of the journey I’m most enjoying my evolving relationship with my adult children and seeing what wonderful humans they have grown to be. Plus the giggles, smiles and hugs from the grand babies are pretty awesome!ReplyCancel

Jessica - I think my favorite thing about being a mom is seeing the look of accomplishment on Joel’s face when he figures something out for the first time. Either that, or right before bed/early morning snuggles. There’s nothing sweeter! 🙂ReplyCancel

  • May 7, 2014 - 9:27 am

Neelima Shah - My favorite thing about being a mom is unconditional love from both sides. How Aria’s face lights up when she sees me and how my heart sings when I see her. It’s the unexplainable bond and love that is stronger than anything in the world. My mom is the same way, she would do anything for her kids and is always available… her love is unwavering, just like mine.ReplyCancel

  • May 7, 2014 - 8:30 pm

Anne - Now that my kids are adults, my favorite part of being a mother are the times they still come home for a snuggle and sometimes even call me “ma” or “mommy”. We breathe together, sit in silence and gratitude and be together. Not so much doing – more being.ReplyCancel

  • May 7, 2014 - 10:12 pm

Christina - My favorite thing about being a mom? Tonight, when I was reading “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” to my sweet almost-three-year-old son, I had to explain what it meant to have a “heart two sizes too small.” He paused, turned to me and said, “Mama, I have a BIG heart … because I love you!” Every day he makes my heart sing.ReplyCancel

Maureen - I love EVERYTHING about being a mom. I take it all… the good, the not so good, the easy and the hard and it just fills me up with joy, purpose, fulfillment, LOVE. I wake up every day knowing I created the most amazing being I have ever met and she is transforming me with every breath of her own beautiful transformation from baby to toddler. She makes me a better and better person and I just didn’t know the heart and soul could grow to love so profoundly. I have more gratitude in my life than ever before and I am overflowing with appreciation for the privilege of being a mom!ReplyCancel

Becky - For me my favorite moments of being a mom is when my littles sneak into bed with me during the middle of the night. Feeling their warm little bodies snuggled against me, their tiny breathes and the noises from dreamland remind me of the love I have for them. How I wish they will always snuggle me, and that I’ll be their best friend forever .ReplyCancel

  • May 9, 2014 - 10:27 am

Stacey Varnes - My favorite thing about being a mom is seeing the joy in my kids face when they are really having a great time or experiencing something new. Kids have such an incredible sense of unbridled joy that somehow we loose as we get older. The other thing is hearing them say “I love you”… there is nothing better in the world then to hear those three words from your littles.ReplyCancel

  • May 9, 2014 - 10:44 am

Rachel Salzbrun - I love being a mom to my 14 month boy/girl twins because they are my miracle babies. It was a long time coming for me to get pregnant and I finally did and was so blessed to have twins. They amaze me every single day. Their smiles, laughs, fussy times and their snuggling times, just really melt my heart. They say that a mothers love is so strong and that there is no other love like it…I couldn’t agree more. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night just to watch them sleep. We would be honored to win this contest. Thank you! Happy Mothers Day to all of you lucky moms 🙂ReplyCancel

Stacy Hoisington - The simple things make being a mom so amazing….a morning snuggle, an unexpected hug, a wave to the stands from the dugout, a flower picked just for me during a neighborhood walk, or even a request for an extra kiss goodnight. I treasure these moments each and every day.ReplyCancel

Misty Price - The most amazing thing about being a mom is seeing, hearing, and feeling all the wonderful moments that come with motherhood. From the first flutters of pregnancy to the first embraces after birth, the soft coos during breastfeeding and the belly laughs from tickling fights, the smell of a clean baby after a bath, the warmth of thier bodies when snuggling together reading a bedtime story, the amazing wonder in thier eyes when they discover something new and thier sweet smile that turn a bad day into a great night. It’s the unconditional love for eachother that makes being a mom so amazing!ReplyCancel
