We are so excited to share our big news and can’t wait for our little one to join our family!! We are due February 28th!  What do you think, boy or girl? 🙂

This video was originally made last July when we went down to Oregon with hopeful hearts, a video camera, and giant signs.  The signs read first, “Oh, hello”, and then “Aunt Katie”, “Uncle Jesse”, “Grandma & Grandpa” etc. Our family had no idea we were coming down and were completely surprised to see us, but even more surprised by our news.  We loved their reactions and although we told them in a different way this time, the sentiment was still the same. I had to share the original video with some updates.

I’ll be sharing the story of our miscarriage in a future post, but for now, we are CELEBRATING!!!!

I was so excited when my college friend contacted me about a Mother’s Day gift for his wife. A mother son session was a great idea! I hadn’t been lucky enough to meet little Joel yet, but when I did I was smitten. Look at his big blue eyes and easy smile. So sweet! I had a great time playing with them at their house and the park across the street. I can’t wait until the next time I get to see them. (In the meantime, Go Beavs!!)

I don’t know where to begin in talking about Courtney and Ed’s wedding. The day was so full of love, and not just their’s. They were completely surrounded with people putting their all into making the day perfect. From the homemade bouquets and boutonnieres, to family and friends doing hair and make up, to Courtney’s uncle officiating the ceremony, everything was put together with thoughtfulness and love. Even the cupcakes were homemade! I’ve known Courtney since we were about 14, so seeing her smile on her big day was extra special to me. And seeing how Ed looks at her, I couldn’t be happier for the two of them!! I could talk about their wedding all day long, but instead, take a look for yourself. Amazing. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Harper!!! All the best to you both, and Alaina too!

Mercy and Jon have been “hanging out,” as she puts it, for 4 years. I’m cool with no labels, but just for the record, these two are awesome together! Their session was full of laughter, silliness and snuggling. Yes, snuggling. I had a great time and am so sad that Mercy is moving away so soon. We’ll all miss you, girl!

I was so honored (and excited!!) to fly to Maui to shoot Rondi and Aaron’s wedding! It was a beautiful day (how could it not be in Maui?) and Rondi and Aaron were so relaxed and wonderful to work with. The whole wedding party was a blast and so was the creative team. This was truly an amazing wedding full of love and joy. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Bard!
