It was cold this day at Discovery Park…like REALLY cold. Like make your eyes water, turn your nose red, hard to breathe cold. Oh, and it was windy too. So you can imagine that we didn’t make it too long for our shoot, but it was a fun 20 minutes and I’m really happy with the shots of this cutie pie. Talk about photogenic! Beautiful girl. Thanks Connelly (and family) for braving the weather and coming out to play with me!

It was a super cold day at Golden Gardens (like super cold…35 degrees with a mean little breeze) when I met with this sweet family for a shoot. Little lady is only 2 and was such a trooper! She gave me over an hour of giant smiles, playing along with my games, and generally just making my job easy. At the end she even asked me, “Miss Hannah, do you want to come with us?!” to go get a muffin at Starbucks. So cute! By the time she was too cold, so was I! I was so impressed with her. Mom and Dad made my job easy too. I love working with such relaxed, loving, happy families! I had a tough time narrowing it down as I was going through their images, but here are a few favorites. Thank you Nik, Lindsey and Reghan for such a fun morning!

I’ve known Megan since she was 10, when she became one of my sister’s best friends. Twenty years (!!) later they’re still super tight and she’s one of a few of my sister’s friends who are like another little sister to me. I was so excited when she told me she was getting married and wanted me to photograph it! I hadn’t met Nate yet, so I couldn’t wait for their engagement session the day after Christmas. It was COLD outside, but both Megan and Nate smiled through the whole shoot. I had a lot of fun spending some time with them as a couple and getting to know Nate a little bit before their big day in June. Megan and Nate, congratulations! I’m so excited for you and that I get to be there on your wedding day!

I managed to make it through a move across town in my 7th month of pregnancy, the hubbub of the holidays, and just now finally got a chance to look back at 2013. What a great year! I enjoyed you all more than I can tell you. I pretty much have the best job ever. Thank you for making 2013 amazing. I can’t wait to see what 2014 has in store!

Here are a few of my favorite moments from last year…..

The couples (oh, the love!)

And the kids and families…the cuteness is killing me!

This year I found a true passion in my Day in the Life photo shoots and was so so excited to be featured on King 5’s Evening Magazine!

I also got pregnant with our first little one who is due in just 7 short weeks.

Not to say it doesn’t have its rough times, but every time I think life can’t get better, it does! Here’s to an amazing 2014!

I don’t know where to begin in talking about this wedding. I was so honored to be there to capture such an insane amount of love, support and happiness between this couple and their friends and family. Bruce and Tom are just the sweetest and I couldn’t help but tear up during their ceremony. Besides the mushy stuff, there was also a whole lot of FUN! Steam punk outfits worn by many guests, mustaches for all, an “interruption” to the ceremony by two hilarious drag queens, trivia, and sooo much dancing! This couple had the perfect balance between sentimentality and a killer party. Bruce and Tom, thank you so much for including me in your day. It was such a special event and I’m thankful to have been there!
